March 4, 2013 10:46 pm What about Bone? Someone mentioned a Pixar kind of thing and I think Bone falls in that category. To me it is very much like Salman Rushdie's book Haroun and the Sea of Stories in that it works on many levels based on your age and life experience but all the levels are fun. What do you guys think? Is Bone a good all ages book?
January 23, 2013 12:24 pm I have one very simple question for you Gabe: Is there anything that you DO like? I love this site, the articles, the podcasts, the posters, the reviews and everything. Except you're weekly first world problems column. You seem to simply whine about minute things all the time. Maybe, hopefully I'm taking your articles the wrong way and if I am I apologize, please explain what you are trying to say. And yes, I realize that I'm being selfish in saying you need to explain yourself to me when you post these articles for the entire site but I just couldn't bite my tongue any longer.
January 11, 2013 8:21 pm Sorry, should read SLOTT and Spider Man.
January 11, 2013 8:19 pm This is killing me. Love or hate the story, whatever, but at least LET IT FINISH before you get up in arms! Jean Grey would NEVER turn evil, this is stupid, I'm never buying this book again! Obviously this guy is just trying to move a few more copies and then it will all go back to normal in a year or two. (This comment looks awfully stupid about 5 years after the Dark Phoenix Saga ended but its the equivalent of what is being said about Skirts and Spider Man right now). Let the man finish his story before you decide to Lynch or lionize (sp?) him please.
January 10, 2013 1:24 pm I have to agree. I wasn't thinking of Howard Porter but you nailed it! Well done, sir! The way Porter evoked the feel of Batman, his aloofness, his use of shadow, his smirk, his build, all of it. That is the Batman in my my mind. The way he conveyed both the power and the grace of Batman's movements. Like you said with the white martians, he seemed like a living shadow at times but then when he punched out people, you could feel the impact. Howard Porter, my vote.
