November 3, 2008 5:38 pm Ron's answer on the Ultraverse was a bit off. The lines did crossover towards the end of the run. Marvel's Black Knight was even on one of the Ultraverse teams and some of the Ultraverse character's ended up with infinity gems if IIRC. Considering how bad the books were by then, I can understand why Ron blocked that out.

I have to say that I recommend watching the deleted scenes in Iron Man if only for the one where Tony is approached by two women and tells them that he's thinking of a number between 1 and 5.

October 14, 2008 8:36 pm Didn't Speedball have a pet cat? I don't think the super-hero lifestyle lends itself to pet ownership. It's too hard to find a pet sitter on short notice if you have to go across the galaxy or something.
September 20, 2008 7:55 pm Clark becoming a reporter is pretty hard to swallow. He hasn't graduated college nor has shown any proclivity towards journalism up to this point.
September 8, 2008 6:12 pm I think any writer that puts out any significant volume of work is going to crank out a dud eventually. The only way to avoid it is to put out your masterpiece as the first thing you ever publish professionally and then retire from comics.

I bag comics, but don’t board them. Like others have mentioned, it's more of a "keep things nice in case I want to reread them” thing than a "these will be worth big bucks someday" thing. I don't really mind bagging since I can do it while I watch TV, but I loath filing my comics. With 36 longboxes, it's literally a back breaking endeavor to integrate new comics into the existing ones. The only downside to bagging for me is that the bags eventually degrade and have to be replaced which I really don't have the energy to mess with.

July 22, 2008 7:44 pm Why isn't Too Cool to Be Forgotten listed with the comics shipping this week?

My votes for characters to kill (if the Sentry is off limits):

Marvel: Hank Pym - The character is too tainted for most fans to really like at this point and he's pretty redundant since there are numerous other growing and shrinking heroes and smarter scientist types. I say give him a heroic death fighting Skrulls.

DC: Mary Marvel - Redundant as both a hero and a villain.
