October 3, 2008 2:02 am Marvel Apes has been a weird experience for me. For pretty much all of issue 1, I was saying to myself "Wow. This is absoloutely hoirrlble." But then the end happened, and I was sortof "Oh, that's kindof interesting. I almost like that." But then 2 happened.  2 happened and it threw out absoloutely everything that made the ending of 1 interesting. I grabbed 3 because I might as well finish it, and it's almost okay. It's certainly interesting enough for me to want to see how it ends.

Trying to recall the old plotlines and see if I can remember how this all fits into continuity is kindof annoying, but I'm pretty sure it all checks out. This is going to make Ultimate Spidey really interesting come Ultimatum, when all this stuff will presumably work its way into the actual books.

August 7, 2008 2:01 am Ugh. Yeah. It is becoming more and more apparent that Final Crisis was, like, the single worst choice for a "first DC anything to follow" for me. I really don't like it, mostly because I barely understand a second of it.
