June 14, 2013 12:33 pm Wow. Here is the deal. I like it. I went with friends that are not comics fans. They liked it. There was a lot of action and it was cut with the story of a boy,who is different in a way that could scare a lot of people, and his parents, who love and want to protect him, and how he finds his way in the world. It's not directly from any of the Superman origin stories that I am aware of so the geek part of me screams a little from the inside " he doesn't meet Zod until he has more experience" or "this is not the way it happens in Man of Steel or Secret Origin or ...." but in the end I liked it. I will definitely watch it again and probably again and again. They left it in a good beginning kind of place. I really want to revisit this place and can't wait to see how this Superman is going to make his way into the next phase of his life. I hope he can make a few more super powered friends to help him feel less different.
June 14, 2013 12:15 pm SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER *****Spoiler************* *****Spoiler************* *****Spoiler************* *****Spoiler************* *****Spoiler************* *****Spoiler************* I see this as a very good reason for this. But first; two things. He's been flying for two days, he's had his powers for 30 years. He's used them to save people from stuff but as far as we know, never for fighting. Two: "STARTS killing his enemies"? I view this as his inexperience having to use his powers in battle being the reason he can't find another way before Zod is going to kill the innocent people. The amount of pain this caused him is the reason this will be the LAST time he kills an enemy.
May 29, 2013 11:23 am So is the idea of The Punisher or Deadpool killing all the heroes that have been able to survive so many villains for so long the part that's hard to believe or that the heroes that are killed by them have survived any of the villians?
January 11, 2013 12:10 am Definately Neal Adams. His Batman is the one I see in my head as soon as I hear the name. He's also the first that looks like "THE" Batman.
July 10, 2012 2:45 pm I don't have a problem at all with "a person" dealing with grief in their own way. I think that the characterization of Peter Parker, who has been well established to become hyper responsible after Uncle Ben's death especially toward his Aunt, was way off. This wasn't Peter Parker; this was some other teenager who was far too self absorbed. I don't think Peter Parker would have rushed to Gwen. They left out "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" . I think this Spider-Man could have used it.
July 9, 2012 3:13 pm I liked the movie, it was a fun watch. I didn't like the characterization of Peter Parker. To me, his reaction to Uncle Ben's death and his treatment of Aunt May was awful and not at all what I would expect from him. He drives Aunt May to tears and then runs off to tell Gwen his secret? He didn't seem to care about her at all until he took the eggs at the end. And the only reason he seemed to do that was because he wasn't going to be seeing Gwen anymore. As for Uncle Ben...I blamed him more for the death and other than looking for revenge but not feeling the responsibility for it.
July 5, 2012 11:46 am Am I the only one lost with this? Is anything changing or not? It's not a reboot, just some things will be different for a while? Is that a change? Is that a reason for the "ANNOUNCEMENT"? A change in creative teams warrants new #1s? Marvel got the movies right, but they seem lost in what to do with the Comics.
March 6, 2012 3:30 am Regardless of the circumstances surrounding the departure, the death of Dale surprised me and hit me on an emotional level. I really didn't expect it. It was like THAT issue of the comic. You know it's possible but you don't really believe it will happen and then it does. I hope Carl is wrong and Dale does go to a better place. Their world will definitely be poorer without him. Maybe he can be a martyr whose ideals will crystallize with others now that he's gone.
August 25, 2011 4:14 pm Wolverine can't read?
August 2, 2011 5:00 pm I guess it's a spoiler because it's NOT anyone we already know?
