I didn’t think I’d really want to read a series featuring Zatanna, but with this third issue, I’m sold.  I’ve enjoyed the first two issues immensely, and this issue ties up the storyline really nicely.  It’s cool to see how Zatanna uses her powers in a real fight, and it paints a picture for why so many heroes in the DCU turn to her for help.  She’s a strong female hero that has really interesting layers, and Dini writes her in a way that makes her engaging.  It doesn’t hurt that Stephane Roux’s art is excellent, both on the cover and in the book.  The panels are dynamic and engaging while also telling the story in an interesting way.  This issue was not meant to blow your mind, but this is a finely crafted comic book that you should be reading.
