Yet another retold X-Men origin story and I loved it.  What I like about this new X-Men Origins one-shot is the focus lies on Nightcrawler’s character.  This issue is about what shaped Kurt into Kurt Wagner and not about how he became an X-Man.  I really liked how most of the content involved Kurt’s time in the circus and his foster family. The art really stood out for me, however, it isn’t what you think. Chris Sotomayor’s coloring was fantastic. The color style looks blurry and reminds me of a flashback or dream sequence.  My only problem with the art is that the penciling duties were split between two artist. If this were a monthly I would understand but this is a one-shot.  There should have been plenty of time for one artist to finish. Still, this is a good retelling of an old favorite.
