X-MEN MANIFEST DESTINY CORRECTED COPY #5 (OF 5)

I preface this review by stating that I enjoyed 1-4.  But everything that people were saying about this series came to the top with this issue.  The “wrap-up” of the only story that was in all 5 issues basically just put the characters back to where they were beforehand.  Now I know that most stories in serialized media do this, but this was supposed to be about Manifest Destiny and things changing when the X-Men moved west.

I’m too lazy to look up whoever did the art on the Iceman story, but while I hated how he drew Iceman and Mystique, the art was solid in the first four parts.  In this issue, it just seemed rushed and a lot of the panels pulled back on the action seemingly so he had to draw less detail.

The other two stories in the issue were of the, “That’s alright, but who gives a rat’s patoot?” variety.  Oh, and Wolverine really doesn’t do that much talking.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 2 - Average
