“Professor Xavier is a Jerk!” is pretty much the theme continued here, and it’s one that I’m tired of frankly. I mean, yeah, I know, he can be didactic, he can be pushy, and at times he has even been sneaky and devious. But it’s interesting to see how he has morphed from the stern, unforgiving headmaster who ultimately had his students’ best interests at heart into a guy with a bona fide superiority complex (though maybe there’s a little napoleon complex in there too, based on his time in a wheelchair). But I think it’s funny what his disciples are willing to forgive him for and what they won’t. I mean, really, finding out the truth about Krakoa was the final straw? Really?!? Not Onslaught? Not faking his own death? Not, um, dying, and causing the Age of Apocalypse?

Well, being an outcast, a castaway, an X-reject seems to be the norm for Xavier these days, and it’s kind of sad. I want to see Xavier matter again, and not because he imprisoned a sentient A.I. in the Danger Room . I just wish he could renew his romance with Lilandra. Remember those days, hangin’ with the Starjammers? I miss those days. Remember him playing basketball? That was a cool Proffesor X with some major skills. Can we just launch him into space again and make Magneto headmaster?

Sorry, I almost forgot to talk about the issue. I don’t know who Chuck is anymore, and it seems neither does he. At least not completely. But I hope he and Scott can call a truce soon. I think it would go like this:

Chuck: “Hey dude, I totally tried to talk to your brother and make him good again. Y’know, the one you never knew about? Yeah, but he’s an evil Emperor now.”

Cyke: “That’s ok, Professor. I’m totally banging a formerly-evil presently-hot chick who messes with my head every day. So, y’know. Bygones.”
