There's not a lot of reasons to buy this comic. Except maybe the for the last page, which is really good. Xavier defeats Sinister who has been trying to take over his body, based on some old protocols that would ensure that he live forever.
Gambit and Sebastian Shaw are working together to try to stop Sinister. Why Shaw? Because if Sinister's takeover of Xavier doesn't work, he's next on the list. This is all related to some black origin story where Xavier and Shaw's DNA were modified by Sinister when they were wee little lads. It's a very 90's story.
But it's got a couple of neat moments with Shaw and Gambit, but they seem rushed. Xavier's flashbacks are just throwaway nods to old storylines without even getting to the good parts of these stories.
But like I said, it's almost all made worthwhile by the excellent last page in which it's revealed that while Mr. Sinister may be gone for good, he's ensured his legacy by cloning himself into... [dun- Da -DuNNN] Miss Sinister.
Also, I only paid a buck for this comic, so I guess maybe it was worth it.

I think that you might be a bit tough on this issue. After all, there are some of us who believe that the heyday of the X-Books was the early ’90’s.
yeah, but not me. not by a longshot. but I don’t think I trashed it, it just wasn’t great to me. Liked the ending, tho…
i enjoyed this book. i would have given it a higher score personaly. i grew up reading the 90s stuff so that could be why. but i didnt understand where miss sinister came from. is it the origanl or a new sinister that shaw made with Mr.’s tools? i was a little lost at the end but i expect it to be cleared up in good time.
My impression was that it was a clone that Mr. Sinister made. Not sure if he managed to put all his memory, etc. into it. Also, will someone please explain to me how a clone of a man can come out as a girl? I mean, ok, I stopped taking Biology after my freshman year of college, but this sounds like, if I can borrow a term, shenanigans.
