Y'know, not that I don't like all the characters, but I was under the
impression that this issue was going to focus on Monet, and it really
barely had her in it, any more than it ever did. And, spoiler, it
wasn't really her now was it.
I love Peter David's books, but he broadcast that reveal loud and clear at the start of the issue. I know he's a fan of foreshadowing, but this went a couple steps beyond that and was pretty much bludgeoning us with the plot twist.
Still, this is one of my favorite books.
I like how the relationship between Jamie and Layla isn't too creepy, all things considered. I hope Ruby comes back to the present, because I've always felt you can't have nearly enough alternate future Summers kids hanging around.
And did I miss something, or did the cliff hanger from last issue, Shatterstar, get completely ignored this issue?
The art was as good as it ever is. I loved the scratches as they were visible, but not over stated.
