While Peter David clearly didn’t do everything Ron suggested in his Five Easy Steps To Make X-Factor A Good Book Again article, he has made this book more and more about Madrox.  And it’s better for it.  It still doesn’t have the fun noir sense it did at the beginning of the run, but it also isn’t bogged down in the Divided We Stand, Manifest Destiny, X-War, constant crossover that’s held the other Xbooks hostage since The Messiah Complex ended.

I really think this book is on the right track.  Especially now that they’ve got Longshot on the team, and they’re not overusing him.  Comic relief is what he’s second best at.  Defying Mojo being what he is best at.  And I really, really hope they don’t ever throw Mojo into X-Factor.  Do you hear me Peter David?  NO.  No Mojo.  None.  No Spiral, no Mojo, no Dazzler.  Let Longshot just be a background character in the Madrox and Layla show.  Thank you.

Also, thanks for putting talented artists on your book again.  I only know DeLandro’s name because of recent iFanboy podcasts, but it’s in my brain now.  I’ll flip through any book he draws for.  Even Youngblood or Rulk, that’s how good he is.
