This comic was very nearly pick of the week for me. This is only my second issue of this X-Factor run and I can say with confidence this is my favorite of all the X-books. I read Messiah Complex and have been waiting for that to pay off. So for me this was the ideal place to hop on.

Peter David creates a very real, street-level mutant book, even with the time travel. The art, the pacing, dialog, and action all add up to a fine comic. Since the big event of 39 it seems that 40 has been a great jumping on point and even though I don’t know all the characters I don’t feel lost in continuity.

I’d say if you’re looking for a good X-book this is a good one and good time to join. And for those who have become a little frustrated with X-Factor before should know that its time to come back.

In the forward Peter David said he wants to triple sales on this book and it deserves it. This is one of Marvel’s best books right now.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
