First of all I would like to say that X-Factor is the best X-book right now for its consistent storytelling with many of its characters. What continues to hold together X-Factor fans for such a long time is the fact that Peter David writes each team member very well and brings unpredictable circumstances to the plot line. X-Factor #210 moves away from the whole X-Factor in Vegas situation with the goddess Hela and instead gets to focus on X-Factor members Monet, Rictor, and Rahne's return. These characters bring interesting dialogue that adds enough drama and humor into the story.
For the artwork,Valentine De Landro definitely shows improvement from the past issues he drew for the X-Factor series. He stays consistent within each panel by having detailed pencils that are sketch-like.
Finally is the full rundown on what happened in this issue of X-Factor. The story briefly starts off with a man leaning towards a gravestone. Next is a nightmare where a female soldier is surrounded by zombiefied children. The woman wakes up from her nightmare hoping that it will end.
The issue then moves onto New York City where Rictor and Rahne are taking a taxi to see a specialized doctor for super-humans. Rictor believes that they should take a taxi so people will not bump into Rahne, but Rahne states that she is much stronger than before. During their trip, they discuss several things such as why Rictor does not laugh as much as before and his relationship with Shatterstar. The cab driver rudely makes side comments and Rictor offers to double the fare if he would be quiet. While waiting to be assisted for medical attention, Rahne asks Rictor if it was her fault for him being gay. Rictor laughs and replies that he has been gay all along. The doctor then sees the two and Rahne gets a sonogram. The screen appears black, but the doctor says there is a heartbeat. The doctor concludes that it seems the baby is mystical rather than biological. Rictor demands an explanation from Rahne.
Back at the X-Factor headquarters, the female soldier from Iraq meets with Monet and wants her to get into her head in order to deal with her nightmares. Monet agrees to telepathically enter the woman's mind and learns that the woman accidentally ordered an air strike that killed innocent civilians. Monet urges the woman to let go of this memory and helps her get rid of it.
The final scene takes place at the grave sight where the story began. Monet's former client approaches the man telling him that her implanted persona is now gone. The woman now called Ballistique shoots kinetic energy from her index finger killing the man. She then walks away.
