I’m not a huge Way hater. I
think his Deadpool is pretty solid, even if it isn’t the best. I didn’t think
Daken was too bad a character, even if he’s not my favorite. I do think the
Romulus story is a little silly, and inadvertently getting Sabertooth killed
off because of it was pointless.

With that in mind, I think this was the worst
issue of the 3 year run of this book. I find it annoying enough when Logan goes
into his berserker rages, but Way felt the need to give us his thought process
when he went into it this issue and it read like an ad for Beggin Strips.
Wolverine doesn’t know it’s not Bacon. I don’t like the idea of swords in daken’s
arm any more than I like it in movie Deadpool’s. This issue was another of
Marvel’s line of poor inkers making marginal artists all the less entertaining.
The sketchy quality to the art made it look like a blurry picture more than
gritty action. I just didn’t care for it.
