I’ll preface this short review with saying that I love what is going on over in Jason Aaron’s Wolverine & the X-Men. I picked up this Alpha and Omega mini because of how much fun I was having when I read Aaron’s.

Much like Aaron’s run, the art is definitely different that what I was used to seeing and often thought that Wolverine looked bad. Eventually, I came to enjoy the art on the regular series, but unfortunately I cannot same the same for this mini. Quentin Quire looks especially terrible in all the issues.

The writing in this series wasn’t necessarily bad, but the world provided in the construct reminded me a lot of the Age of Apocalypse series that is out, which doesn’t interest me in the least. I found myself just skipping most of what was said in the construct and focusing on what was happening at the Jean Gray School.

Sorry to be so negative in my review, but this just wasn’t for me at all. If it had been an on-going series, I would have stopped at #3 or #4.
