This series has always been the fun, wacky counter-point to the grim seriousness of the other X-Books, and this has been part of its charm for a lot of fans. With the current arc, I felt that things were getting a little TOO wacky; crossing the line into downright goofy.

With that being said, I actually liked this issue. Maybe it was just joy at seeing this story arc finally come to an end, but I felt a little bit of glee at seeing the teachers and students of the Jean Grey school turn things around on their tormentors. This issue also featured an interesting character beat with one of the students that served as a reminder that no matter how silly things get, Aaron is still taking the time to develop this cast of new mutants.

All in all, this was a mediocre issue of Wolverine and the X-Men. But as is often the case, mediocre Wolverine and the X-Men still beats a lot of other comics out there.
