I absolutely loved the first part of this story. It is one thing to
bitch about how many books Logan is appearing in, it’s entirely another
to write a story that, not only incorporates it, but also makes it a
plot point. And an interesting one at that. I’m glad to see that Kubert
is back on this book. He was a defining artist for the character when I
first started reading comics. The time he spent over at DC seems to
have only improved his page lay out. I loved the calender feel of this
issue. I also love that Red Hulk punched Wolverine’s face off. There
were just so many great little things, like the bars where Logan is a
regular or “I thought I did” all just great stuff. The back up story
was a little cliched though. How many times have we seen Logan in the
exact same position of running into an old friend and him helping him
out since that friend is in a position he finds himself in and he wants
to find peace. It’s like a bad 70’s tv show. Regardless, this issue is
worth getting for the primary story regardless.
