I don't know. Besides this story being illustrated beautifully, it's hard to know whether to recommend this to anyone who wouldn't automatically hear Millar/McNiven and run out to add it to their pull list. Not that this is typical of their last work. This is about as far from Civil War as you can get, but it shares some of the same problems for me writing-wise.

Ok, the story is really cool, future Logan in a post-Apocalyptic world, blah blah blah. Substitute Logan for Mad Max, set it in the Marvel Universe, and make Logan a pacifist. Sounds cool right? I mean the last issue had a Hulk gang of Banner's grandchildren, so this seems headed in an intersting direction. But Millar has these big ideas (let's put the Marvel heroes at war with each other, ahem) and then fails to make it believable. The moloids I'm on board with, the Ghost Riders not so much. I like the blind Hawkeye character a lot, but he doesn't really feel like Clint. And when Logan says "wow" on page 9... Did the thing that turned him into a pacifist also turn him into a little boy that's impressed by buildings that have fallen into the ground?

But I applaud the effort here and I really am interested in finding out where this story is going and learning more about this world Millar has created. I mean, why exactly is Ultron carrying a bag of groceries? That's what I'd like to know. That, and who Peter Parker got frisky with.
