It's nice to see Logan tying up some loose ends before he leaves San Fran for Westchester and there are some genuinely funny and moving moments in this book, particularly when he's telling his girlfriend that he is leaving. If you'd told me that this book was going to contain everything from a talking gorilla to dragons literally digging a tunnel to China, I would have thought it couldn't possibly be good and I would have been wrong, which really says something about Aaron's chops as a writer. Speaking of "chops," I don't know why he's not mentioned very often as a great artist, but I feel like Ron Garney has been hitting it out of the park every time I see something by him (and he's been doing it for a while). He can do anything from straight up superheroing to dark kung fu, from wonderfully laid out action to expressive and emotive faces. I think it's time that I add Garney to the list of artists whose work I seek out, and I don't know why it took me this long.
