Warren Ellis' output for Avatar is a mixed bag, but it all bears the mark of the creator; even at their poorest, he owns the concept, so there's always something kind of unhinged and interesting going on. Wolfskin was a short, brutal mini from a year ago featuring a Viking-like barbarian killing machine as the [i]good guy[/i]. This annual is a self contained vignette wherein Wolfy busts up a sex-slave smuggling ring with extreme prejudice. I know, it sounds anachronistic, but it works. And Ellis didn't script this one -- friend Mike Wolfer has the duties here. The art by Gianluca Pagliarani is finely detailed enough to illustrate brains spilling out of brain pans. This one is most likely either "for you," or "not for you".
