The latest issue of Who Is JAKE ELLIS continues the saga of a great suspense/mystery/action comics.  This issue goes about elaborating information about the relationship between Jon and Jake, but leaving a lot of mystery to keep me begging for more. The use of color in this issue continues to demonstrate a master application of color in story as a storytelling device. It's easy to compare the application of color in this book to some of the great films like the production design of a L.A. Confidential, or The Shining for the control of the color palette. The action in this book is akin to the Bond film Casino Royal film with Daniel Craig. A real gem between story/art and it's execution.

 There is a great use of time and transition in this comic from the beginning of rain drops to a heavy down poor.  These issues have a re-readability factor of a 10. The use of line and brush techniques in these issue remind me of the brilliance of Darwyn Cook comic. I really love the fact that this issue moves away from the over rendered and some times distracting art pages into a clarity in panel composition. I look forward to the next issue, but I  have to be content with rescanning the two issues released so far until the new one is released.
