I was glad to find out that Kirkman decided to spend more time with Hershel and his farm club a bit longer than originally intended (look in the recently reprinted Letter Hacks section in the back of WDW #12 if you wanna understand what I'm talking about), it made the part where the man finally snaps and sends Rick on his way with all his other pals in the RV. Looks like Hershel had enough of their bullshit!! I can't blame the man, although things really have been making more sense from Rick's perception. Hershel obviously wasn't educated enough to realize that it isn't a very bright idea to keep zombies stored so close to one's home, but how was the man to know that chances of a zombified human ever coming back to life are slim to none, it's not like the fucking things come with instruction manuals, right?!

I was surprised to see Glenn being able to stay at the farm though. I can't see how Hershel is gonna let him stay after he got caught red handed with his little Korean PP inside dude's 19-year old daughter, but maybe things will be more balanced out at the farm with the rest of the RV crew living at the prison instead.

I could just go right to Borders and pick up the rest of the story in trade, but I tried reading it in trade before not making it past volume four. I have to admit that I'm having a lot more fun reading the series in weekly segments instead this time. Besides, my brother has all the trades, but he's hiding them from me just to piss me off like the bastard that he is, I enjoy reading the same story a different way now.

Oh, and buy the way, I enjoy the way the art is now way more than the art Tony Moore did in the first few issues.

This series certainly is a slow burn. I'm gonna keep it that way and continue to buy it weekly until I'm at the point where I can buy the regular issues each month. Some things are just more fun to read periodically than to read it all in lump sums, and Walking Dead definitely fits right there in that certain category.
