Is it strange that a book about zombies is so grounded in reality? I love this book because the characters are real, the dialogue doesn't pull any punches (as in the case of Rick snapping at his young son about why his friend isn't crazy), and the best choice isn't always the best choice. Who would have thought that we'd ever see Dale and the others alive again, much less this whole thing coming full circle back at the farm. Not a ton happened this issue except for a few reveals... we get to find out who Michonne has been "talking to" and (very unexpectedly) a "Scientist" shows up, claiming to know what cause the Zombie apocalypse.
I think the real strength of this book is that it can wait over 50 issues to even think about addressing the "cause". Though I'm wondering if this will end up like Y: The Last Man, where we have multiple theories about the cause, but no solid answer. Either way, I'm intrigued to hear what this guy has to say!
