  1. I don’t see any problem with the continuity. Just because two titles use the same character in the same month, does not mean the stories take place simultaneously.

This four issue arc seem to take place over just a few days of chronological time. So there’s plenty of opportunity for those characters to be participating in other stories without continuity conflicts.

If you have to worry about continuity these days, I’d say it’s the arcs that matter, not the issues. In either case, I simply prefer that the characters feel like the same people from title to title.

As for the review itself, I like the conceit that you have to review comics to buy comics, but is a complete plot summary part of the requirements? It seems a bit unecessary and totally sucks the energy from your video.

  2. Finally some feedback!  Thanks!

It’s very easy to get bogged down in telling the story while trying to review these things, and often I’ve felt like I didn’t even want to explain these things every single time.  Like you said, it probably actually takes energy out of me, and therefore sucks energy out of the video.

With that in mind, I’ll happily work on pulling away from the the details of the story, and really just tell what I liked and didn’t like about the book (next week of course, I just finished this week’s).  Your feedback is much appreciated.

As far as continuity goes, I completely agree.  Many times, things seem like they could be overlapping or maybe they are happening at different, albeit recent times.  I was really just trying to make the comment that there was a time not so long ago when you didn’t have to make these leaps of faith, and these days, they are more and more commonplace.  It’s almost as if being a fan of Marvel requires you to put a lot of your hesitations regarding continuity aside and just enjoy the books.  And while that was very difficult for me at first, I’ve come to enjoy taking each story for what it’s worth, and am trying to ignore the inconsistencies as best as I can.

Again, thanks so much for the feedback, and thanks for watching! 🙂
