All the big reveals, such as they were, happened in the last issue, so it was pretty much all over but the fighting.  Brubaker writes fun fight scenes, so this was a perfectly enjoyable book, but basically it’s just more water-treading leading up to the launch of Ellis’ Astonishing, and to Uncanny issue 500.

Two artists shared duties on this book, and the shifts in style were a little jarring.  I actually really liked Ben Oliver’s work on the SF scenes — I was just flipping back through some of his Ultimate X-men issues and remembering how I enjoyed them — but the Mike Choi pages were weirdly colored.  Overall, this looked a bit thrown together.  But at least they got the gang to San Francisco, which hopefully will be an interesting setup for the new arcs on Uncanny & Astonishing.
