Great interactions between the characters, but nothing happened.  I mean it, nothing.  I loved the art though. Here’s my one big question thought:

WHAT HAPPENED TO KITTY?  Did I miss something?  What happened?  When? In which book?  Help please!!

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good

Comments

  1. I think we are going to find out in the Astonishing Annual, or atleast I hope so.  I agree about the art.

  2. Aaaaahhhhhhh! Hands over ears, hands over ears! Stop reminding me that Kitty is missing and that Whedon insinuated that one of the X-Men weren’t going to make it back from the Breakworld! Aaaahhhhhh! I noticed it myself and forced myself to forget about it so the end of Astonishing wouldn’t be spoiled for me! AAAAAAahhhhh! ForgetforgetforgetLALALALALALA!!!

  3. Nothing happened to Kitty yet; they’re teasing on the fact that the last issue of Whedon’s Astonishing hasn’t come out yet, but it’s already passed chronologically.  I don’t think she’s dead.  They’re working way too hard to make us THINK she’s dead, but I don’t think Logan and  Kurt would have been so casual about it if she was.  (Also, I could have done without Colossus’ single emo team, but whatever).  I really hope that once Astonishing wraps up, they will quickly write Kitty back into this title.  I think Brubaker could have a blast writing her.  His Marvel writing has been so much about terse, solitary males that people forget he did such a great job with Holly Robinson and Stacy-the-temp in DC.

  4. Not a lot of big events, but I have been waiting 20 years for the Logan / Kurt / Pete European Vacation. Just f’n great to have the three of them back together…Bru hit the perfect notes of a long term friendship. Really, really wonderful.

  5. Yeah, I wish the book was just about Logan, Kurt and Pete. The psychedelic adventure to the 70’s doesnt interest me at all.
