Marvel NOW! has been a success for the most part but I was uncertain of Uncanny X-Force starting a new run after the unbelievable Rick Remender run. But in the new age of comics ALL good things come to an end. NOW after finally reading the first issue, with Sam Humphries writing and Ron Garney on pencils, my hope is reborn anew!

The first issue is an action packed romp from the beginning. Adding Puck into the mix kept the fun that Deadpool and Fantomex brought to the last series. Sure that’s a little early to say for certain but his scene was a nice nod to those types of characters. Psylocke has kept her tone nicely and Humphries is certainly trying to make the series his own. Garney art is excellent and his sense of action is great as well.

While it’s still early in the book it kicks off well with the addition of Storm, Puck and the short panels of the return of Bishop sets up an intriguing plot line. The books ends on a high not as we catch up to Fantomex and his female clone Cluster. Surprise ending to say the least!

It is setting up for the new Uncanny X-Force #1 to be quite a wild ride and so far I am all in!
