I vividly remember picking up Ultimate Wolverine Vs Hulk #1. The thrill I felt reading that first issue was incredible. There was so much potential for amazing fights, a little bit of comedy if played right, and some good character development.

Now, 4 years later, my enthusiasm has certainly died down. Don’t get me wrong. I am very grateful that the story was atleast finished but the mini has failed to live up to my HULK sized expectations. The conclusion in issue #6 was just…blah.

Even while writing this review I can’t place my finger on what was so disappointing about Ultimate Wolverine Vs Hulk. It had action, partial nudity, a few laughs, consistantly good art, and they even tossed in a few twists to the story. I suppose the problem is that no matter how good this series was it would be impossible for it to live up to 4 years of expectations and hype.
