Hulk versus Iron Man.
We've seen it before. We've seen it a lot and we've seen it a lot recently. Hell we even saw it this week with Hulk #2, but it's been awhile since we've seen it done in as interesting a way as Warren Ellis does here. This isn't smart Hulk versus Iron Man fighting to save the enviroment, or space Hulk versus Iron Man fighting because editorial told him he needed to, this is the Hulk that's a force of nature simply lashing out at anything and everything within arms' reach because that's what he does.
Granted a great deal of the book is the classic Warren Ellis technobabble that long time fans of Stark Trek like myself will recognize as plot tools to do things that the story previously declared impossible. Example: There's no way to cure Banner of being the Hulk except for nanobots which isolate the Hulk cells in his DNA. Makes sense I guess, but sometimes I long for the days when Dr. Strange could just show up and shout some nonsense about other dimensions and fix things that way.
So far though Ellis is keeping me interested. The story is moving along quick enough that even if I don't always buy the technobabble it does not matter because there's no time to dwell on it. The characters are fairly consistent to the Millar/Hitch version of the Ultimates (and not the dour joyless Loeb version) and frankly I'd pay to read a book of Warren Ellis writing Ultimate Tony Stark. Ultimate Tony Stark captures all the fun of the original concept of the character that sadly now is bogged down in Civil War and being a recovering drunk, and Warren Ellis captures him beautifully.
Ellis for Ultimates 5. I'm starting the movement today.

This book is fun and keeping my intrest

Hear hear!
And I say this as someone who’s a fan of 616-Tony (at least the way that Brubaker/Knauf/Gage/ usually-Bendis characterize him, not so much the straw-bully that some of the Civil War and Initiative titles used him as). But the original Mark Millar Ultimate!Tony was a great character concept that we haven’t seen enough of.
