Jeph Loeb clearly has a lot of affection for the concept of the Lady Liberators, and so do I.  I think the issue of “The Avengers” where the Ladies were first introduced is a classic.  Jeph Loeb used the Ladies in “Hulk,” and in this issue of “The New Ultimates,” Loeb is creating what appears to be the Ultimate version of the Liberators.  I can’t wait to see Zarda’s reaction when she realizes that the Enchantress has put a hex on her.  I imagine Zarda will be mighty pissed, and will want to hurt someone.  On the other hand, I suspect that Carol Danvers has found a way to resist Amora’s influence, because I don’t believe that Carol has really killed Hawkeye.  I like the way the Enchantress shows Valkyrie what Thor has been up to in Hel.  It’s the kind of twisted magic that a wicked witch in a Disney animated movie would use.  I even like Steve Roger’s narration.  It makes perfect sense that Steve would be confused by societal evolution, and the changing status of women like Janet Van Dyne.

            Cho’s pencils are sumptuous, even though his women tend to have similar faces.
