Wow. So after spending the better part of allowing the beginning of this book to sink I felt the need to write a brief review regarding it. Many have questioned the reason as to why this book isn't just a one-shot about the funeral and after the first issue I felt that way too. However after reading this issue I can see how the shock waves of Peters death going across the ultimate Marvel Universe need to be told. Personally this is the book that should have been released following the god awful "Ultimatum" series. The bit that got to me the most was when aunt May slapped Steve Rogers across the face. I was literally in shock at how much that got to me. After discussing how the other ultimates and Cap had basically looked down on Peter in certain respects and despite that he still did what he could as Spider-man was something I loved. The fact that Cap was knocked down a couple of pegs by an old woman and the fact that he asked for her forgiveness spoke volumes about both Heroes. I adored the Thor scenes and the flash to what Rogue was doing was very nicely done. One would be pushed to believe that this series will take everyone from the Ultimate universe to their lowest point and then start to build everything back up from the ground level again. This issue was compelling and thought provoking.
