Of all Shooter’s three efforts with the Gold Key icons this one IMO is strongest. Magnus for me was the best but it was admittedly a “cult” read.

Turok is a solid comic book that should please many fans.

Turok is like Conan in the fact kept in his element it is hard not to make it work. Shooter does a good job of staying true to the source. Having the original Turok launch reprinted illustrates that nicely.
So we get a blend of Native American history with Sword & Sorcery and some dinosaurs. That is just a great recipe.
Eduardo Fransisco does a great job on the art. It gives a look to this that feels right, somewhat simple, retro but stylish.

This is an easy title to review just as it easy to read, “brain candy” if you will.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
