Some things I liked. The reunion between the repowered Toro, human and replete with emotion, and his mentor the Original Human Torch, android and now devoid of emotion, was fantastic. Toro reaching out to the Torch in an effort to connect was quite touching.

Some things I did not like. I am quite sick of zombie stories, and this series is quite quickly devolving into a zombie story. While zombie Atlanteans are somewhat entertaining, the concept of a zombie ship heading to New York, requiring intervention by the two heroes is a bit hackneyed.

As in prior issues, the art was solid, and the overall look of the book was especially good. Torch is a nice legacy project, which is somehow getting less attention than other similar work. Perhaps it is overshadowed with the Marvels Project, which I much admit is better on all counts. However, Torch is really good, and I look forward to seeing it through to its conclusion. I hope as well that Torch and Toro will become a featured part of the Marvel Universe in the year that follows.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
