This one shot was more fun than the miniseries it has spun out of.

 I’m
still a little wary of making Miguel just another nerdy kid that became
Spiderman just in the future. I liked that he was a scientist and had a
steady job and all that other stuff.

That being said, this wasn’t a bad
issue. It was cool to see him learning about his powers. It was really
cool to see Peter helping him learn about them. I guess they’re
replacing the wrestling portion of the story with ultimate power cage
fighting or whatever that thing at the end was.

If you’re a fan, this
issue was a lot easier to take if you look at it as a Star Trek kind of
reboot. If you’re not a fan, then there really isn’t any reason for you
to be picking it up in the first place.
