This issue came with an advisory warning about action and angst and it delivered the goods!
OK lets get down to the basics here…Defalco is not writing Shakespear here but what he is writing is fun! Sometimes we need fun books, ones that may not have the continuity or the crossover banner and are just fun. This issue had battles KRIBY DOTS a plenty and a hell of a lot of action.
Kevin Masterson reminds me a lot of the early Invincible issues. A young man trying to find his feet.
I’m pumped for the next and final instalment. Something tells me that this book won’t be back and even though it seems that FEAR ITSELF is all about hammer time the Everyman Avenger I don’t think will be apart of it.

P.S. MARVEL COME ON AND GET ON A THUNDERSTRIKE ESSENTIALS OR A COLLECTION OF SOME SORT

  1. I was always curious about the Thunderstrike character, but never actually read anything he was in. From your review, this sounds like a fun comic. I might pick up the trade of this when it comes out.

  2. I doubt there will be a trade. Defalco wasn’t too confident about it.
