I have a man crush on Jeff Parker. He writes good old fashioned coomic stories with just enough modern twists to keep me both excited and nostalgic. His run on Thunderbolts has been a joy to read, and this storyline that is leading to a retitling (pay attention Marvel, too much change can make fans blood boil…just ask Bob Harras and DC for some of the fallout that they are feeling)
The Bolts vs Bolts thing has been an intresting ride so far, and there is one event in this book that shows how far these characters have come…8,,,3…83 says it all…
I can’t wait to see how this plays out. The only thing missing is the Mark Bagley art of old…
That being said, Declan Shalvey knocks the art out of the ball park. In an era where it seems like grimacing posturing “I gotta go to the bathroom” characters are all over the printed page, he takes the time to actually draw a scene and layout an eye popping page after page.
I have been reading since #1 and this issue makes me glad I have.
