Thunderbolts saved me from what was an otherwise dreary week of comic reads. It was the last on my stack and I walked away smiling, thinking, “this is why I read comics!” I was a little worried about refocusing from the time-hopping “villains” to the more heroic Thunderbolts in the present day, but Parker offers a story that gets into the heart of the team and the heart of their leader. Parker did a great job of choosing a villain that cut to the soul of Luke Cage and showed us the motivations of the character. And Parker also cunningly addressed the philosophy behind Thunderbolts altogether, and the place they have in the Marvel U. I agree with Josh, Thunderbolts is a shining star in at Marvel.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 3 - Good

  2. This is still a great series, deserves more readers as it’s one of the best Marvel titles
