This issue of ThunderBolts was a solid story arc builder, but what made this particular issue great was the extras. I have never read the title before Jeff Parker took over. I had no previous history of the characters or the relevance of the title. The inclusion of the back story of the ThunderBolts from the perspective of Moonstone and SongBird was great. (For any one unaware of the Title, the two characters have always been associated with the title.) The inclusion of the first issue was a nice touch to give new readers the opportunity to learn about the origin of the ThunderBolts, and how they went about their task.

 The Avengers inclusion in this title made a lot more sense, then my initial thought about a battle royal with the Avengers.  Jeff's story was great and  kept  this title book from being dropped.

 Overall the story was a enjoyable character arc for anyone one currently reading ThunderBolts. The art work is solid given the place where the story takes place. I gave this a 5 star for rating for the added material.
