I picked this book up based upon the strong buzz that I had heard about it. Also, it sounded like it could be a really fun Thor book. I found this issue to be loads of fun. I place a caveat on that fun though: you have to be able to accept some very simple character actions. The tone of the book is definitely meant for a crowd that doesn’t have problem with two people barely knowing each other pursuing actions that require trust that strangers don’t often have. It’s really not a problem so long as you can let go of that part of your brain. After letting go, this book is whimsical and charming. The story moves briskly and Thor is a lighthearted, swashbuckling hero. And Samnee’s art….oh Samnee’s art is so exceptional in this title. Too beautiful for words. This is a fine Thor story for the more lighthearted reader.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
