I really like this comic. It is a new take on the old comic trope of the secret identity. Unlike the normal secret identity where the hero is performing actions because he feels driven to do them, the Phantom Stranger HAS to perform acts of goodness, that often aren't acts you would imagine a hero performing. The Phantom Stranger's relationship with the highest levels of the DCU is explored in this issue and the everyday life of the Stranger is also explored. I know in a few years this comic will be derided for not changing its formula, but right now I'm really having a lot of fun.
