You just knew Fraction wasn't walking away from Thor without taking on a Surtur story. He and Gillen continue to (re?)shape the Asgardian mythos in this new "Everything Burns" story arc. A nice mix of mythology and creepiness here. I love, love, love the interplay between Thor and Loki, as well as Thor's current attitude towards big daddy Odin. I just wish there was more of it. Of course, in 20 pages, there's a lot of groundwork to be laid, so I won't complain too loudly. Davis and Farmer are their usual selves, but this issue isn't a showstopper. My ratings for this issue may be just average, but I think the arc as a whole has a potential to be great. I'm looking forward to what's next!
