I hate board meetings. Most of the time is about 2-3 people playing idea-tennis and bolleying it around for hours on end. We sit there and we wait. Sometimes things happen and sometimes not. The massive is like a board meeting. It showed what happened to the world and why our protagonists are here looking for its lost sister ship, the massive. This book reminded me about the movie “the day after tomorrow” for some reason. I don’t know if that is good or not but i like how this book, for now, focuses on the characters. They want to save the world and i have no idea how they can do that. That’s what i was told and aside from a brief boat-chase scene, nothing really happened.
Technically, the story is nicely arranged and the art is well done as well. The color creates a nice vibe overall with its washed out greenish tone.

Quality Control: Passed. Modest 1st issue.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 3 - Good

  1. I probably like both the story and the art a bit better than you did but I’d agree that there really isn’t a solid “hook” here in this first issue.
