Alan Moore feels old. He and Kevin O'Neill look like ranting old men on the front page whining about Kickstarter.
Quartermain, Murray, and Orlando are old as well, probably reflecting Moore and O'Neill's age. Everything is meaningless, Harry Potter is the antichrist, and immortality is for losers - like those Bond women who want to be free of death, but don't know what they're in for. They'll probably end up like Alain, ranting and homeless on heroin.
Overall, I liked the final chapter of century. Its rich writing and its layered and allusive narrative forms a rich satire of serialized storytelling in general. People (and characters) grow old. Sometimes authors (or companies) don't let them die. It's not hard to see the connections between what's happening in this story and that other story that uses characters that someone else created.
But in all seriousness, Alan Moore is getting old. I like his stories. I'll probably like his film. I can't see him as the iconoclastic rebel anymore, probably because he created so much of the comics industry that's currently being marketed. That's sad, but it's also life. I hope that this is the end of League, and that he does something else.

I think MysterionRises points out that it’s not Harry Potter which Alan Moore is referencing, but another series of books, It’s worth reading his review.
