Last of the Greats is one of those titles that is rapidly moving to the top of my pull list. Joshua Fialkov is really knocking it out of the park with this tale of the last superhuman on earth. Artist Brent Peebles is really coming into his own on this book and developing his own artistic style that works beautiffully.

This issue focuses on “The Last” and his ascent to god like being as he now has become a full-blown celebrity. This issue features The Last as he guests on The Oprah Winfrey Show. There is also a great moment in this issue where The Last states his nefarious sexual intent for Oprah, which is quite hilarious. Each issue so far has ended on a fantastic cliffhanger and this issue does the same. So far this series is 3-for-3 and has left me eager to read more.

For anyone who is a fan of Mark Waid’s run on Irredeemable, Kingdom Come, or even the new Daredevil you really owe it to yourself to be reading Last of The Greats. Please don’t sleep on this book and wait for the trade, issues 1-3 are still available so please have your LCS order this book and support another great independent book from Image.
