Just when you thought the Incredible Hulk was going to blow the roof off the joint we get issue #6.
This issue was maddening to read. This title has been nothing short of fantastic thru 5 issues, climbing it’s way to being one of the first comics I read the week it comes out.
Jason Aaron has done a great job keeping me hooked with this book, but this issue with the eight million flashbacks mixed in with the fight between Banner and the Hulk was a little too much. This issue read like someone was drunk and was telling you about the movie they saw that was actually three different movies made in six different decades.
The art was my biggest concern this issue. Portacio seems bored. The action sequences were okay at best, and his proportions in this issue make Rob Liefeld look like Neal Adams. Not what I expect from him by a long shot.
I think this issue was a rare mistep. Every issue has been a good read, this one just missed the mark by a long way. I am hoping they get back on track with the next issue as I really do like this book and hope this was just a one time thing.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 2 - Average
