I had hoped we could wait a while longer before getting to time travel, but oh well. Once more into the breach. Time-travelling magnetic pulses. Machines that emit radiation to repair the DNA of damaged clones. We’re already deep in the realm of wacky Flash science, and if Manapul and Buccellato can plot it in a way that doesn’t make my brain hurt — except in the good ways — then I’ll be happy. So far, so good, I’d say. It hasn’t been a perfect first arc and it’s felt a little busy, but both Manapul and Buccellato are bringing their A-game so far. That’s a Flash Fact. I’ve gone on before about how I want Manapul to draw all of the things, so this week, let’s give it up for Buccellato. There are some rich, gorgeous greens and yellows in this book, and any time these guys want to take over Green Lantern, I’m in. Also, Barry and Iris’s little “Can I catch a ride?” exchange may be one of the best come-on lines I’ve read all year.
