The Bulletproof Coffin: Disinterred #4 is a very unique book. The series alone is unique but this one in particular is more so. David Hine and Shakey Kane set up a four panel grid for most of the book with seemingly random panels that jump all over the plane of existence for a very humorous and fascinating stream of consciousness kind of ride. It’s all so nutty and random, or is it? This mini series and the incredible 6 issue mini that preceded it last year is the Flex Mentallo of it’s generation, but it’s more than that. This is much much better. Why are so few people talking about this book? The week this book comes out it is ALWAYS a contender for book of the week in my house. It’s almost not fair to the other books on the stands. This book is hot frothy goodness flowing from the tap. Grab yourself a cup!

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. I can’t argue with your review Jason. This book transcends your traditional comics, and it’s a shame more people aren’t reading (and raving) about this book. I’m with you, this always wins book of the week when it is released. Sheer brilliance in ink.
