After 6 years and a publisher change, the Boys finishes its story with this issue. All the loose ends are neatly tied up and a nice bit of symmetry closes it out. To make things a little less bitter and pretty damn sweet, Darick Robertson returns after almost 30 issues to draw this finale. While Russ Braun did a fine job filling his shoes, seeing Darick back is great because he truly owns these characters. All in all, a nice little epilogue. Although this series seemed to lose most of the hype and recognition it had in its early days, it really was a terrific series. I have a long box and a half of Garth Ennis books and I’d say the Boys is only behind Preacher in his bibliography. High praise indeed but it deserves it.
