This wasn’t terrible, but I jumped onto this issue, this final arc of Bendis’ run, with what are probably unfair expectations. The visual story-telling here felt shoddy – I often had to go back two or three panels just to make sure that what I thought was happening was correct, and nothing particularly interesting seemed to happen. The fault might be mine, missing the context to explain why I should care about Marvel Man fighting and beating Red Hulk, but the story itself felt like all set-up without enough depth for me to care about what was being set-up.

Art: 1 - Poor
