This issue of The Avengers is so frustratingly bad. I really dislike Walter Simonson’s pencils. The first page was fine, but after that it went straight off a cliff. Another thing that annoyed me was that in the intro page an editor’s note says the story takes place before Wolverine and the X-Men #12 and before AVX #8. So this is going to tie in to Wolverine and the X-Men as well. Then why couldn’t Chris Bachalo or Nick Bradshaw have done the art? Spider-Woman comes up with a plan to get rid of the X-Men’s telepaths and how that plan is executed is a little convoluted to me. It seems to not worked in the story multiple times, but I guess they improvise. Charles Xavier appears and has a pretty badass moment and that was kinda the highlight of the issue. I know Bendis can do better, but these tie in issues seem a bit rushed by both the writers and artists.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 1 - Poor
